Internet Recording

Need some bass? Let me help! I record bass for professional and home studios all over the country. It’s a simple process. You send me an mp3 of the track in which you need bass, and I will send you a high quality bass track that you can import into your session and mix yourself. I play any style, from Rock and R&B to classically bowed orchestral parts. The rates are very affordable and the turn around is very quick (some tracks can be done in less than 30 minuets!). It saves you time and money.

Here’s a closer look at an example of how it works:

This is from a session for Scott Van Dutton, a studio owner, musician, and writer based out of San Diego CA. The track was for a pilot called Death’s Door and was just nominated for Best Score in the Action On Film International Film Festival. Scott needed an Acoustic bass for his track and was running short on time. He enlisted my help to get it done right and emailed me this mp3 and the instructions for what he wanted.

I recorded the part on Acoustic bass and sent him back 3 separate .wav files using yousendit.com. For Acoustic bass, I can send 3 separate tracks. One with a close mic, one with a room mic, and one with the direct in. This gives you the option to mix the sound however you please. With electric bass I send one .wav or .AIFF file that was recorded direct in to my Fender TBP-1 studio bass preamp.

The bass part was then imported into Scott’s session, mixed and then mastered.

Internet recording is a cost efficient way to get a real studio musician on your tracks without the hassle and cost of having one come to a studio. You don’t have to pay for studio time, an engineer and the musician. It is one fee per track that includes an edited finished bass track. Times are changing for the recording industry; budgets have gotten smaller and studio prices have gotten higher. For a fraction of the cost of a regular studio session you can get the same great product, and a top NYC session bassist on your track…
