Bio

Jeff Kerestes is quickly becoming a well known name in the New York City music scene. After making the move to the area in late 2006, he has been gigging, touring and recording with a growing number of very talented artists. His reputation for being a groove oriented player who can read music and take great solos has helped him become a sought after sideman and respected Musical Director. Jeff’s musical versatility and experience provide a rock-solid foundation which artists can bank on in any musical situation. Originally from Phoenix, AZ, he began his musical education with piano and soon after began playing bass. Jeff graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Jazz Performance and has received multiple Awards for Musicianship from Berklee College Of Music in Boston, MA. Currently residing in Brooklyn, NY, Jeff is constantly on the look out for new musical endeavors. The most recent of which is the Brooklyn buzz band Apollo Run and national touring/recording artist Ricardo Sanchez. He also stays busy in the recording studio as a composer and by laying down bass tracks for other studios all over the country via Internet Recording.
